Addressing Injury in Elite Performers
Injury is more than a physical setback—it challenges a performer’s identity, confidence, and connection to their sport.
As CMPCs, we support athletes through the psychological aspects of injury, rehabilitation, and return to play. Common challenges like fear of re-injury, loss of role identity, and feelings of isolation are addressed through mental skills training, goal setting, and emotional regulation strategies.
Many performers push through pain in pursuit of excellence.
While we respect that commitment, we help athletes and performers develop a healthier relationship with pain. Our work focuses on awareness, decision-making, and self-monitoring—ensuring that pain management supports long-term performance rather than undermines it.
