Injury is more than a physical setback—it challenges a performer’s identity, confidence, and connection to their sport.
As CMPCs, we support athletes through the psychological aspects of injury, rehabilitation, and return to play. Common challenges like fear of re-injury, loss of role identity, and feelings of isolation are addressed through mental skills training, goal setting, and emotional regulation strategies.
